چکیده

The present work reports the impregnation of palladium (Pd) or platinum (Pt) on hierarchical porous zeolite catalysts for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) oxidation. (NaYmod) was synthesized via a top-down approach to incorporate mesoporosity into microporous NaY. This process achieved through three steps synthesis: dealumination, desilication and alkaline treatment. 0.5 wt% Pd Pt precursors were then added NaY NaYmod supports by wet in order elaborate efficient total oxidation two types VOCs, ethanol toluene, which are probe molecules oxygenated VOCs BTEX compounds respectively. supported unsupported samples characterized X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), N2-physisorption, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). modified mesostructured support ensures better dispersion active phases led partial presence highly reactive Pt(II) species case platinum-based samples. Whatever reaction, these latter demonstrate higher conversions compared palladium-based ones. provided high catalytic performance, with degradation both VOC at temperatures lower than 170 °C. Such have not been recorded before materials.

NOx Selective Catalytic Reduction over Pt Supported Catalyst Promoted by Zeolite and CeO2-ZrO2

The emission control of NOx in exhaust gases is one of the greatest engineering challenges to extend the practical and commercial application of diesel and lean burn engines. One solution is selective NOx reduction using hydrocarbons in an oxidizing atmosphere. We mainly focused on catalytic reactions under temperature excursion because of the resemblance to conditions prevailing in real automo...

High Catalytic Efficiency of Lignin Depolymerization over Low Pd-Zeolite Y Loading at Mild Temperature

This article reported a novel low-temperature process for aromatics production through lignin depolymerization catalyzed by 0.1 wt% Pd-zeolite Y catalyst prepared by a facile method. Under the same reactive condition, the as-prepared Pd-zeolite Y catalysts exhibited much higher catalytic efficiency than zeolite Y or commercial Pd/Al2O3–zeolite composites. The selectivity of the Pd-zeolite Y tow...

Synthesis of octahedral Pt-Pd alloy nanoparticles for improved catalytic activity and stability in methanol electrooxidation.

We report Pt-Pd nanoparticles synthesized by means of a polyol process with glycerol as a reducing agent. The Pt-Pd nanoparticles exhibit dominantly exposed {111} facets in octahedral shape with complete alloy formation between Pt and Pd. Furthermore, the octahedral Pt-Pd alloy catalysts show improved catalytic activity and stability in methanol electrooxidation.
